Vitality T20 Blast Free Bets
Since its introduction in 2003, Twenty20 cricket has grown quickly in popularity around the world. The T20 Blast is the English version and whilst it might not quite have the glitz and glamour of the Indian Premier League or Australia’s Big Bash, it is still full of excitement for the two months it runs for.
This is the second season in which the competition has been sponsored by Vitality. They are a health and life insurance company and also offer help re investments. They sponsor the men's and women's T20 matches, including the recent women's T20 Ashes series between England and Australia.
They are also the Official Partner of the England and Wales Cricket Board. Their ambassadors include England Test captains Joe Root and Heather Knight as well as Jos Buttler.

Where to use your free T20 Blast bet
As with any competition there will be plenty of money going on who will emerge as the winner of the Vitality T20 Blast and with just 18 teams involved the cash will be relatively well distributed across the sides.
The group stage nature of the tournament also gives punters the option to back the winners of the three groups as well as the team that will lift the trophy come the end of August. The qualification for the quarter-finals is also a very popular market, especially as three of six teams can make it to the knockout stages and many will believe they can pick one of these sides.
The top batsman and bowler markets are also very popular in the T20 Blast tournament although they can be something of a lottery. There are always certain players that you will expect to be up there in terms of runs and wickets but there will often be a youngster or even an under-rated journeyman who can spring a surprise if the conditions suit.
The 18 county teams are split into two divisions for the tournament; the north and south.. In each division, the top four will go on to compete in the quarter-finals of the event. Then the finals day takes place which sees both semi-finals played out prior to the final on the same night.

The county teams generally use the competition as an opportunity to bring in a big name overseas player as a T20 specialist and many of the stars of world cricket have performed in the tournament since its inception in 2010.
A number of the overseas players have lit up the tournament in recent years with the quickest century in the competition coming from New Zealander Scott Styris who smashed 100 not out for Sussex Sharks in 2012 off just 37 balls.
What is T20 cricket?
Twenty20 cricket, sometimes known as Twenty-20 and often abbreviated by the lazy writers amongst us to T20, is a short form of cricket. Where as Test matches and longer-form games can go on for what seems like years, T20 cricket is done within a couple of hours.
Both teams have just one single inning each which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. A typical Twenty20 game is completed in about three hours, with each innings lasting around 75–90 minutes and a 10–20-minute interval. It means it is closer to the game lengths of popular sports like football and rugby.
It was originally introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board in 2003 for professional inter-county competition in England and Wales. It was introduced to create a fast-paced form of the game which would be attractive to spectators at the ground and viewers on television.
Tell me more about the Vitality T20 Blast
It's only been around since 2014 when it replaced the Friends Life T20 (which itself replaced the Friends Provident T20) all of which have been the England f-rst class T20 division since the game was introduced in 2003.
There are a total of 18 clubs competing for the T20 title, who are split into two divisions (North and South), each containing nine teams, in what is effectively the group stage of the competition.
The group stage runs from May to July and each team plays just six of the other teams in the same division twice; home and away. They play the other two teams just once, for a total of 14 games.
Two points are awarded for a win and one point for a draw, nothing for a defeat. At the end of the group stage, the top four teams from each group enter the knockout stage.
The semi-finals and final of the competition are played consecutively on the same day and at the same ground, at the end of the competition. During finals day (usually usually held at Edgbaston) there is a mascot derby. What's not to love?!
In the semis or the final, if the match ends with the scores tied and there must be a winner, the tie is broken with a one over per side, known as a "Super Over". Each team nominates three batsmen and one bowler to play a one-over per side "mini-match", sometimes referred to as a "One1".
The side with the higher score from their Super Over wins. Simple as that! Almost like a penalty shoot-out in football! If the super over also ends up in a tie then the team wins who have scored the most number boundaries (4s+6s) in the 20 overs.
