NFL 2020 Playoffs
We are down to just two teams in the NFL playoffs. After their victories on Championship weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs will face the San Francisco 49ers in Miami on February 2 for the Super Bowl, the biggest Americal football game on the planet.
Our Super Bowl game preview is now available and can be viewed here.
Championship Games - Sunday 19th January 2020
Kansas City Chiefs 35-24 Tennessee Titans
San Francisco 49ers 37-20 Green Bay Packers
After going behind for the second week in a row, the Kansas City Chiefs fought back to beat the Tennessee Titans to reach the Super Bowl. The game that followed was pretty much all over at half time, with the San Francisco 49ers racing into an early first half lead. They ovecame the Green Bay Packers to deny another Super Bowl appearance for Aaron Rodgers.
Both the Chiefs and 49ers will now head to Miami where they will take each other on. These teams have been the best two performing teams from the NFL playoffs in 2020, so it is fitting that they will now meet in the final game of all.
The 49ers will be looking to simple keep doing what they have done so far. That is to perform brilliantly on the defensive side of the football, while taking their chances when they have the ball in the hands of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. The Chiefs will be keen to ensure they don't fail behind early like they have done against both Houston and Tennessee before fighting back to win. This is a step up in terms of the quality they are facing, and fighting back against the 49ers who are so good defensively will not be easy.
Getting through to the Super Bowl is complete, the talking has been done and now it is time for these two high quality teams to go head to head on the big stage to crown a Super Bowl Champion.

NFL Betting Offers
One of the positives that the growth of this sport and betting on the NFL have brought is competition between the bookmakers. The sport is now as popular as it has ever been before, more people are betting on it and the bookmakers want to get those punters to sign up and bet with them. The way to do this is to follow their successful methods from other sports, and the best one of those is to create NFL betting offers that people can take advantage of. This is something we should all be on the lookout for, so here are some NFL betting offers that you can use when placing your next NFL bets.
William Hill Bet Boost - NFL Acca Bonus
The William Hill bet boosts are something that can be used in a variety of ways, and a great tool for punters. Their standard accumulator bet boost is a great offer to take advantage of, and one that works very well with those betting on the NFL. Accumulator betting on the NFL is very popular, and with most of the games taking place on Sunday evenings, you can plave a bet on the day of the games. With so many games to choose from, you should have no problem finding the three selections needed as a minimum to be able to use this offer.
Simply create an acca on the NFL with three selections or more to take advantage of this bonus. There are no other requirements when putting together your bet, the only one rule is that you can only use the bet boost once per day, so if you are placing more than one accumulator then make sure you use this on your strongest fancy.
After choosing the selections you wish to bet on and adding them to your betslip along with the stake of your bet, simply press on the 'bet boost' button to see the odds on your bet boosted.

NFL Betting Markets
As we have mentioned earlier, as far as NFL betting markets go, punters have never had it this good. The choice of markets on offer is very extensive, there are many ways to get involved and a lot of these now don't even involve choosing who will win the game, so for those who want to bet without picking a winner, the choices are great.
From the winner including any overtime played to the handicap line, total points line, player prop markets, winning margins and much more, there really is a market for everyone and each different betting style when it comes to the NFL.
Basic NFL Betting Markets
Those who are new to betting on the NFL and are looking for some simple betting markets to use for their first bets should stick to these at the start. The easiest way to bet on the NFL is to use the money line. This is the American name for who will win the game. This is a bet that includes any overtime played if the game is a draw after 60 minutes. You don't need to focus on anything here other than who will win the game, this is as simple as it gets and a perfect starting point. Those betting in accumulators will tend to use this market and put together multiple selections across the day to increase the odds.
Handicap and Winning Margin Betting
if you are looking to get a bit more value and a better price on your selections then one way you can do this is to choose who will win the game and also think about how many they will win the game by. You can do this in two ways, the first is to use the handicap line while the second is to use the winning margin line. The handicap is easier to work out as you are betting on one line and whether the team will go over or under that, while the winning margin line required a bit more skill to predict the margin.
The handicap line is something fictional that is created by the bookmakers. When you are placing bets on this market the first thing to do is shop around for the best value as there are two variables, the price on offer and the handicap line. A difference of just one point on the line can be the difference between you winning and losing a bet, so you should always be on the lookout for the best possible line.
For example
You fancy the New England Patriots to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers comfortably on Sunday. The odds are small on the money line, so you are looking elsewhere and go to the handicap betting line. The line is set at 5.5 for this game, so on this market your bet is not only on the Patriots to win, but it is on them to win by six points or more as they have to cover the line with thier win. Any win of six points or more is good enough for you to have a winning bet here, which is what makes this slightly different and easier to the winning margin betting market.
On this market, the margins are in brackets so you have to be more specific. For example, instead of six or more points being the total victory you need as above, you will have to choose from brackets such as winning by 1-5 points, 6-10 ponts, 11-15 points, 16-20m points and 21 or more. This is tougher to predict correctly and if your team goes ahead early, you are in danger od them going past the bracket you have chosen to win by an even bigger margin than expected. This doesn't happen with the handicap line, as with this line as long as you are over the line then it is successful.
Points Betting
Those looking for a simple market that doesn't involve choosing the winner of the game can turn to the total ponts market, this is a very popular way to bet on the NFL, offering players the chance to have a wager, cheer something on but not care who actually wins the game. When betting on the points in a game, the simplest way is to bet using the points line. This is a fictional line created and just like the fictional handicap line above, the first thing you need to do here is shop around for value as the small differences between each bookmaker and the line they offer could be the difference between a winner and a loser.
The way to find value is to go with the line that aids your bet the most. For example, if you are betting under the line then a line of 46.5 is better for you than a line of 44.5, if you are betting over the line then it is the opposite way round, with the smaller line giving you a smaller number to go over.
Player Prop Betting
This is something that big fans of the NFL will love, and something that has really evolved over the past couple of seasons. Player prop betting is a great way to back a certain player for success, regardless of how the overall game pans out. The way you bet on the player will be determined by his position, and often you will find multiple ways in which you can back the player to be successful. For example, quarterbacks can be backed on over/under lines based around the number of yards they throw passes for, the number of touchdowns they throw and for those who are mobile, the number of yards they run themselves.
Receivers and tight ends can be backed either on the number of yards they receive, the number of receptions they have or on the touchdown markets, to either score one touchdown at anytime, the first or last touchdown or multiple scores. Running backs have the same touchdown markets alongside markets based on how many yards they will rush for.
While these can be fun bets for punters, a strong knowledge of the players you are betting on as well as the defence they are going up against are required. For example, identifying a running back in form against a defence that struggles to stop the run is the type of combination you should be looking for if you are backing a running back.
There are many other betting markets available for the games during each week of the regular season, although the above markets offer you a great starting point, giving you simple and more complicated betting markets you can use to bet on the NFL.
NFL Basics
Each team plays 16 games in a season; the other teams in their division (twice), all four teams from another division in their Conference (once), all four teams from a division in the other Conference (once) and finally the two teams they haven’t yet played in their own Conference who finished in the same position as they did the previous season. It is a baffling set of rules at first but it does work and it works well. The season lasts for a total of 17 weeks, with each team having a bye week during that period.
The winners of each Division along with two best runners-up from each Conference head into the play-offs where they battle it out throughout January and into February to become the Super Bowl champions, which is the zenith of one of America's biggest and most popular sports. Once your team has reached the pinnacle of the NFL season there will be plenty of Super Bowl free bets and offers around what is arguably one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
